Recent Events at FSBC

  • WILDERNESS ADVENTURE AND HIGH ADVENTURE -  Pastor Kenton led backpacking trips for two groups of kids during the last three weeks of June.  See the HOME PAGE for all the exciting things that go on during this camp!

  • A NEW ROOF!  -  A team of volunteers and church members replaced the church roof during the week of May 31 through June 5, 2010.  Dave Lott was the local church coordinator for the project; and he worked with the Baptist Builders, headed by Ernie Pyle of Thompsontown Baptist Church and a group of volunteers.

  • Each day breakfast, lunch and dinner were provided by several of the wives of the roofing labor team and women of the church.  Many of the volunteers commuted each day, some stayed in the church on air mattresses, and one couple stayed in their motor home in the parking lot.  There was an average of about 18 people each day involved in the project and as many as 24 on Saturday, the last day.

  • The week's highlight was a banquet Friday night to celebrate not only the project, but the christening of the Baptist Builders of the PA/South Jersey Convention. The PA/SJ Disaster Relief Feeding Unit prepared the meal for about 80 people who attended the banquet.

  • The Lord's hand in the roofing project was easy to see in the provision of materials and labor and the protection of the workers from injury.  We give thanks to Him!

  • BUCKETS OF HOPE FOR HAITI  -  FSBC assembled 31 buckets for distribution to needy families in Haiti.

  • PSALM 139 PROJECT - FSBC members and friends are donating monies to provide ultrasound machines to pregnancy care centers.  So far this project has collected over $1,000.00!

  • The congregation recently put together a CHURCH COOKBOOK that includes some of our best-loved recipes.  The cookbooks are available for purchase (call the church office) and all proceeds go to support the youth group.
